A problem worth solving…
Improperly regulated fire lines are a major source of firefighter injuries and death in the fire service, billions of dollars of preventable water damage is done to buildings and their contents, and damage to the environment occurs at both the water source and in the outflow area.
US Statistics, 2003
- Firefighters. Injuries and deaths = 37,460
- Property. Damage by fire and firefighting = $11.5B
- Environment. Damage due to water mismanagement at source and delivery
FTI is developing technologies to take the supervision and control of the individual fire hose discharges on fire apparatus to a new level. Our system allows a fire truck’s discharge valves to automatically and accurately maintain a set discharge line pressure and nozzle input pressure, regardless of outside influences.
